Welcome to Glover Park
Depending on the map you're using, it might prove challenging to discern Glover Park's exact location just northwest of Georgetown, tucked away between Glover Archbold Park and the United States Naval Observatory. Though small compared to D.C.'s more prominent neighborhoods, Glover Park packs plenty of desirability into its modest footprint.
Classic D.C. rowhouses make up the bulk of the neighborhood's housing, many of which date back to the 1920s, 30s, and 40s. There's also a selection of condo buildings for those seeking lower maintenance options.
The walkability in Glover Park is immensely high. While it may not boast boisterous commercial districts like Adams Morgan, Dupont Circle, or Georgetown, numerous shops and restaurants line nearby Wisconsin Avenue. Many are within a 10 to 15-minute walk.

People & Lifestyle
Glover Park presents residents with an attractive alternative to some of D.C.'s more hurried and hectic settings. It's also a less expensive neighborhood where your home buying dollar goes a lot further. There's a fun, less serious atmosphere that envelopes the neighborhood, which proves ideal for young families.
However, those with children aren't the only ones drawn to Glover Park. The area is notably community focused—the Glover Park Citizens Association is one of D.C.'s most active and thoughtful—and attracts many residents seeking an organic and close-knit neighborhood experience. To be sure, professionals both young and old, recent college grads, federal employees, and professors from D.C.'s esteemed universities all call Glover Park home.
Dining, Shopping & Entertainment
Although not a widely sought after destination for retail and dining, Glover Park is near a burgeoning commercial district. Bustling Wisconsin Avenue houses a Whole Foods and Trader Joe's. For upscale furnishings, visit Theodore's to properly outfit your Glover Park home.
Rocklands Barbeque and Grilling Company is a D.C. staple. A few doors down is the equally delicious Dumpling and Beyond. The eclectic diner Little Beast Cafe is an outstanding new addition to the area's growing gastronomy scene.
Things to Do
The most prominent feature along the community's western edge is the marvelous 183-acre Glover Archbold Park. Part of the larger 1,754-acre Rock Creek National Park, the smaller sub-park includes a handful of hiking trails that tie into a longer path stretching towards Georgetown and the Potomac.
On the opposite side of the neighborhood, the Guy Mason Recreation Center serves as the community's primary gathering space. The indoor facility features meeting rooms and an indoor gym. Outside, the grounds include a baseball field and basketball court, a dog park, and an expansive playground.
Neighborhood events include Glover Park Day, an annual holiday party, and monthly citizens association meetings.
